NSW Fair Trading is hosting a seminar on consumer rights and responsibilities in collaboration with Fairfield Emerging Communities Action Partnership (FECAP).
This event is sponsored by STARTTS, Fairfield Migrant Resource Centre, Fairfield City Council and NSW Fair Trading.
This seminar is designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of Fair Trading's Think Smart partners, service providers, community educators and workers on consumer rights. The seminar will provide participants with the opportunity to:
•consider a wide range of approaches in providing help with consumers/clients on relevant consumer issues that are currently affecting the settlement needs of newly-arrived migrants and emerging communities, and
•identify practical and effective solutions for these issues through discussions with speakers and case studies from experts in their own fields.
