  • Fairfield oral history project

     Fairfield Library has been collecting the Oral Histories of its residents and has now achieved over 200 recordings, from people of backgrounds including, Assyrian, Lao, Polish, Spanish, Vietnamese,

  • Hume bilingual storytimes in the community

    This program primarily targets pre-school aged children in response to the needs of communities to maintain their culture, socialise with others and for parents and children to learn. The storytime sessions are currently conducted in Arabic, Turkish, Assyrian-Chaldean and Hindi.

  • Global Accessible Library

    In 2000 an open source software development gave print disability organisations and libraries around the world the ability to exchange titles through a standardised audio format. DAISY. The Global Accessible Library is working with various partners to increase the number of titles available in each country.
