One of the main roles of the Office of the Victorian Privacy Commissioner, also known as Privacy Victoria, is to raise the awareness of Victorians about the importance of protecting their privacy, and to make them aware of their privacy rights. These include the right to make a complaint if they believe that a Victorian government organisation or local council has mishandled their personal information.
